Shri Dr Ashwani Mahajan is a distinguished economist and member of the Board of Governors at New Delhi’s Council for Inclusive Economic Understanding, where he shapes strategies to advance citizen empowerment and equitable growth in India. He is also National Co-Convener of the Swadeshi Jagran Manch and has taught economics at PGDAV College, University of Delhi. The author or co-author of over a dozen books, including the widely used Datt and Sundaram’s Indian Economy, he has also written more than 400 articles for leading newspapers and journals. As Chief Editor of the Journal of Contemporary Indian Polity and Economy, Dr Mahajan remains a prominent voice on land acquisition, FDI, e-commerce and trade policy, and is frequently cited in the media for advocating inclusive, employment-generating economic reforms.
